THE EFFECT OF STAD LEARNING MODEL WITH THE DEMONSTRATION METHOD ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS PHYSICS LEARNING OUTCOME AND LEARNING PROCESS SKILL
Abstract
Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode demonstrasi dan model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode konvensional ditinjau dari peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik, (2) mengetahui bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang mengikuti model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode demonstrasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode konvensional dan (3) mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode demonstrasi dan model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode konvensional ditinjau dari ketrampilan proses belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian control group pretest-posttest design.Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu RPP, LKPD, soal tes, lembar observasi ketrampilan proses belajar, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan RPP, dan lembar validasi.Teknik analisis data terdiri dari teknik analisis validitas instrumen dan analisis hasil. Teknik validitas instrumen menggunakan SBI, Koefisien Reprodusibilitas dan Skalabilitas, Alpha Cronbach, sedangkan analisis hasil menggunakan Normalized Gain dan Independent Sampe T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada pengaruh model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode Demonstrasi dan model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode Konvensional ditinjau dari peningkatan hasil belajar, (2) peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang mengikuti model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode Demonstrasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode Konvensional berdasarkan nilai Normalized Gain yaitu 0,58 dengan 0,34 dalam kategori sedang dan (3) ada pengaruh model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode Demonstrasi dan model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode Konvensional ditinjau dari ketrampilan proses belajar peserta didik, yaitu lebih tinggi. Kata kunci: Model STAD dengan metode Demontsrasi, ketrampilan proses belajar dan hasil belajar. Abstract The purpose of this research is (1) to know the effect of STAD learning model with the demonstration method and STAD learning model with the conventional method on the students' learning outcome improvement. (2) to know the improvement of students outcome who participated in STAD learning model with demonstration method is higher than those who participated in the STAD learning model with conventional method, and (3) to know the effect of STAD learning model with demonstration method and STAD learning model with conventional method on the students' learning process improvement.This research is an experimental research with the control group pre-test post-test design. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling. The research instrument used is RPP, LKPD, test item, observation sheet of learning process, observation sheet of RPP implementation, and validation sheet. The method in analyzing data consists of the analysis of the instrument validity and result analysis. The technique of analysis instrument validity use SBI, reproducibility coefficient and scalability, Alpha Cronbach, whereas for analyzing the learning result use Normalized Gain andIndependent Sampe T-test. The result of the research shows that: (1) STAD learning model with demonstration method was more effective than STAD learning model with conventional method in term of learning outcome. 2) the students' learning outcome who participated in STAD learning model with demonstration method was higher than those who participated in STAD learning model with conventional method based on the value of Normalized gain by 0.58 and 0.34 which was categorized as medium, and (3) STAD learning model with demonstration method was more effective than STAD learning model with conventional method in term of students skill in learning process.
