PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN VIDEO TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA SMP THE INFLUENCE OF VIDEO ASSISTED-PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL ON JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS’ CRITICAL THINKING SKILL

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbantuan video terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment bentuk nonequivalent control group design dengan tahapan pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dari populasi seluruh siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Gamping, tahapan melakukan penelitian sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan . untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbantuan video terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP digunakan uji Paired T Test, Independent T Test, dan effect size. Hasil penelitian didapatkan uji Paired T Test diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,025 dan uji Independent T Test diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,001 < 0,025. Besar perhitungan effect size didapatkan d Cohen = 0,91 termasuk dalam kriteria besar. Sehingga didapatkan hasil penelitian adanya pengaruh yang signifikan pada model problem based learning berbantuan video terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Kata kunci : model PBL, berpikir kritis.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of video assisted-problem based learning model on junior high school students’ critical thinking skill. The design of this research is quasi-experimental research in the form of nonequivalent control group design by using cluster random sampling technique from population that are all seventh grade high school student of Negeri 3 Gamping. Paired T Test, independent t test , and effect size is used to determine the influence of video assisted-problem based lerning model on junior high school students’ critical thinking skill. The result of this research showed that Paired T Test Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,025 and Independent T Test Sig. (2-tailed) 0,001 < 0,025. Effect size calculation obtaind Cohen = 0,91 , which have big influence. From that result, this research shows that video assisted- problem based learning model significant influences junior high school students’ critical thinking skill.
