KEEFEKTIFAN PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MENGGUNAKAN TEKNIK MNEMONIC TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS XI SMA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keefektifan penerapan teknik mnemonic terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan subjek penelitian ini adalah 64 siswa kelas XI tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang terbagi dalam dua kelas. Kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing siswa setiap kelas adalah 32 siswa. Instrumen berupa tes dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata posttest hasil belajar menggunakan teknik mnemonic sebesar 79,06 sedangkan yang menggunakan teknik latihan soal terstruktur sebesar 74,22, hasil statistik uji t menunjukkan bahwa : (1) teknik mnemonic efektif ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa. (2) teknik latihan soal terstruktur efektif ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa. (3) teknik mnemonic lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan teknik latihan soal terstruktur ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, teknik mnemonic pada materi rumus jumlah dan selisih sinus dan cosinus trigonometri layak digunakan sebagai teknik pembelajaran matematika untuk kelas XI.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the effectiveness of the application of mnemonic technique to the learning achievement of mathematics. The method used in this research was quasi-experiment with the pretest-posttest control and experiment group design and the subject this research were 64 students of 9^th grade 2017/2018 academic years, which divided into 2 class. Class XI MIA 1 as experiment class and class XI MIA 2 as control class with the amount each student every class was 32 student. The instruments in this research were achievement tests and observations sheet.  The result of this research show that mean of posttest of learning using technique mnemonic is 79,06 while using technique of structured matter exercise is 74,22, t test statistical thus indicating that: (1) mnemonic learning method effective review from student learner outcome. (2) saintific learning method effective review from student learner outcome. (3) Mnemonic learning method more effective than saintific method review from student learner outcome. therefore, mnemonic learning method in material sum formula and difference sine and cosine trigonometry worthy used as mathematics learning method for ninth grade.
