THE MEANING OF DICHTER AND ANKLAGE IN JOHANN WOLFGANG VON GOETHE’S WEST-ÖSTLICHER DIVAN: A DILTHEY’S HERMENEUTICS ANALYSIS

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the Erlebnis concept, (2)the Ausdruck, and (3)the Verstehen. Data obtained by read-note technique and literary research techniques. Validity of the data obtained by the semantic validity and expert judgements. Reliability is intrarater and interrater reliability. The technique is descriptive qualitative data analysis. Result of the study: the concept of Verstehen in the poem Dichter and Anklage that seen by the Goethe’s life experience and the historicity of the poem Dichter and Anklage. (2) the concept Ausdruck a) diction and style of language, b)Goethe’s expressions in the peoem Dichter which described by ich and the concept Ausdruck a) diction and style of language, b)Goethe’s expressions in the poem Anklage which described by ich. (3) The concept of Verstehen in poem Dichter consist of Goethe’s admiration to Hafis and his poems whichsdescribed by ich. The concept of Verstehen in poem Anklage consist of (a) Goethe’s idea about the accusations against Hafis and (b) Goethe’s disappointment regarding the charges against Hafis, which described by ich. Keywords: Poetry, Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Wilhelm Dilthey’s hermeneutic.
