THE CHARACTERISTICS OF GERMAN LEARNING IN SMA TARUNA NUSANTARA

Abstract


This research aims to describe German Learning in SMA Taruna Nusantara and learning components contained therein. This research is a descriptive-qualitative research. Retrieval of data taken from classroom observation, interviews, documentation, and deployment of open questionnaire distributed to learners. The results showed that: (1) the curriculum used: KTSP 2006, Curriculum 2013, and specialized curriculum. (2) learning objectives: to introduce German to students (3), the participants showed interest and attraction, as well as active participation (4) the teaching of the German language is taught based on the language skills and grammatical understanding. (5) learning material taken from the book Studio d A1- B1, internet, and learning CD. (6) the learning methods used are discussion, question and answer, and learning tasks. (7) the media that used in German Leraning are Laptop, LCD proyekyot, and learning’s card. (8) forms of assessment used is the assessment of the results and assessment process. (9) Barriers to learning is the lack of teaching hours, which is only 1x45 minutes in one week.
