THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE TWO STAY TWO STRAY-TECHNIQUE IN THE LEARNING OF THE GERMAN READING SKILL AMONG THE STUDENTS OF GRADE XI OF SMA NEGERI 1 SEDAYU BANTUL
Abstract
This study aims to know (1) the significant difference of achievement study in German reading skillteaching for student grade XI in SMA Negeri 1 SedayuBantul, between those which had been teach using Two Stay Two Stray-Technique and using convensional techniqueand (2) to determine the effectiveness of the use of Two Stay Two Stray-Technique in teaching reading skill in German reading skill teaching for student grade XI in SMA Negeri 1 SedayuBantul. The type of research is a quasi experiment. Sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Testing validity uses CorelationProduct Moment. The result of this validity test shows that 36 out of 40 questions are valid and 6 questions are not valid. The reliability was calculated by the KR-20. The Koefisien of reliability is 0.928. Data analyze used t-test. The results showed tcount (at 4,361)isgreater than ttable (at 1,997), at the level of α = 0.05. It can be concluded that the use of Two Stay Two Stray-Technique in teaching the German reading skill is more effective than the conventional technique. 26,88
