THE SOCIAL, ECONOMIE, AND POLITICAL CONDITIONS OF GERMANY SOCIETY REFLECTED IN ERZÄHLUNGALS DER KRIEG ZU ENDE WAR BY HEINRICH BÖLL

Abstract


The aim of this reseach is to describe 1) social condition, 2) economy condition, and 3) political condition of german society reflected in Erzählung Als der Krieg zu Ende War by Heinrich Böll. The source of this research is Erzählung Als der Krieg zu Ende War taken from the book, Im Tal der donnernden Hufe Erzählungen 1953-1962 by Heinrich Böll, page 217-234 published on June 1094 by Kiepenheuer Verlag in Witsch, Köln. The data of the study are in the form of words, phrases, and sentences – about the condition of Germans after the World War II shown in social, economy, and politic which is reflected in Erzählung Als der Krieg zu Ende War by Heinrich Böll. The data obtained through analyzing descriptive qualitative technique. The validity of the data obtained through semantic and expert judgement validity. The reliabilities used in the study areintrarater and interrater reliability. The result of the study are: 1) the social condition of Germans reflected in Erzählung are fear and opposition, 2) the economy condition of Germans after World War II reflectedn Erzählung are the downfall of Germany causing the Germany’s financial to aggravate, poor people to starve, loot, and black market to come up, 3) political condition of Germans reflected in Erzählung are the hatred when Nazi ruled Germany which is causing the Jew to be migrated from Germany.
