THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE ROUND TABLE IN THE LEARNING OF WRITING IN GERMAN AMONG THE STUDENTS CLASS XI SMA NEGERI 1 JOGONALAN KLATEN
Abstract
This study aimend to determine: (1) the positive and significance differences achievement in the learning of writing in German among the students of class XI SMA N 1 Jogonalan Klaten between taugh using of the Round Table and the conventional teaching techniques,(2) the effectiveness of the Round Table techniques in the learning of writing in German among the students of class XI SMA N 1 Jogonalan Klaten. This research is quasi eksperimental with experimental design pre-test post-test control group. This study has two variables: the Round Table techniques as independent variables (X) and writing skills as the dependent variable (Y). This research was conducted at SMA N 1 Jogonalan Klaten, the entire population in class XI students totaling 258 learners. The sampling technique using simple random sampling. Obtined from sampling XI IPA 3 as an experimental class (36 learners) and XI IPA 2 as the control class (38 learners). The validity of the instrument using content validity and construct validity. Reliability is calculated with the formula Alpha Cronbach and get the result r11 = 0,715. Analysis of the data in this study using t-test. Based on the results of the data shows tobtained 3,845 greater than ttable 1,993 with significance level α = 0,05 and df = 72. This means that there is a positive und significance difference in learning achievement German writing skills between the experimental class and the control class. The average post-test experimental class was 12,944 higher than control class is 11.974. This means that the students value in experimental class is better than in control class. The weight of the effectiveness of 9,06%. So it can be concluded that the Round Table techniques effective in the learning of writing in German.
