THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PHOTOSIN THE LEARNING OF WRITING IN GERMANAMONG THE STUDENTS GRADE OF XI SMAN 2 KLATEN

Abstract


This study aimed to determine: (1) differences achievement in the learning of writing in German among the students of class XI SMAN 2Klaten between the taught using photos mediaand taught using conventional media, (2) the effectiveness of photos media in the learning of writing in German among the students of class XI SMAN 2 Klaten. This research is a quasi experimental. This research was conducted at SMAN 2 Klaten, the entire population in class XI students totaling 178learners. The sampling technique using simple random sampling.Obtained from sampling XI IPA Imersi as an experimental class and class XI IPA 3 as the control class. The data obtained in the study of German language writing skills scores of students in the pre-test and post-test. The validity of the instrument using content validity and construct validity. Reliability is calculated with the formula Alpha Cronbach.Analysis of the data in this study using t- test.Based on the results of t-test analysis of the data shows that tobtained greater than ttable(3, 168>1.997) with significance level α = 0.05. This means that there is a difference in learning achievement German writing skills between the experimental class and the control class. The average value of the post-test experimental class was 69,20higher than the average value of the post-test control class is 64,44. The weight of the effectiveness of 8.1%, so it can be concluded that photos effective in the learning of writing in German.
