THE INFLUENCE OF TH E STUDENT’S LEARNING INTEREST AND VOCABULARY MASTERY TO THEIR GERMAN WRITING SKILL OF THE GRADE X OF SMA NEGERI 7 YOGYAKARTA

Abstract


The purpose of this research are to determine: (1) The influence of learning interest to the writing skill of German, (2) The influence of vocabulary mastery to the writing skill of German, (3) The influence of learning interest and vocabulary mastery to the writing skill of German at the same time among the students of the grade X of SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. The kind of this research is ex post facto. The data collection used questionnaires and tests. The validity test of instruments used the formula of Pearson and the reliability test of instruments used the Formula Alpha Cronbach. The result of calculation showed the regression line equation Ŷ= -5,850 + 0,115 X1 + 0,225 X2. From the results that (1) There is significant influence of learning interst to the writing skill of German (tcount = 5,838 > ttable = 1,995), (2) There is significant influence of vocabulary mastery to the writing skill of German (tcount = 4,346 > ttable = 1,995, (3) There is significant influence of learning interst and vocabulary mastery to the writing skill of German at the same time (Fcount = 21,026 > Ftable = 3,131).
