HUMANITY IN “HÄNSEL UND GRETEL” AND “DORNRÖSCHEN”IN AN ANTHOLOGY OF FAIRYTALES KINDER-UND HAUSMÄRCHEN BY BRÜDER GRIMM

Abstract

The aim of this research is to: 1) describe the humanity in Hänsel und Gretel and Dornrösche. 2) describe the humanity sending form in Hänsel und Gretel and Dornröschen.The approach used in this research is objective approach. The data collected in this research was descriptive data. The sources of the data were Hänsel und Greteland Dornröschen in an anthology of fairytales Kinder-und Hausmarchen bay Bruder Grimm. The data was obtained using read and note-taking technique. The instrument of this research was human instrument. The data was analyzed using descriptive qualitative technique. The validity of the data was obtained using semantics validity. The reliability used in this research was intrarater and interrater reliability.The result of this research showed, 1) Hänsel und Gretel and Dornröschen had eight types of humanity, a) Human and Love, consisted of friendship, intimacy, loving oneself, and adoration; b) Human and Beauty, consisted reflection, harmony, and gentleness; c) Human and Sorrow, consisted of torturing and mental confusion; d) Human and Justice, consisted of honesty, rightness, vindication, and retaliation; e) Human and Ideology, consisted of dream, goodness, ethics, and demeanor; f) Human and Responsibility, consisted of awareness, sacrifice, and dedication; g) Human and Anxiety, consisted of alienation, solitude, and uncertainty; h) Human and Hope, consisted of belief and last hope. 2) Hänsel und Greteland Dornröschen had two types of humanity sending form, which were direct and indirect. The dominant style inHänsel und Gretel and Dornröschen was direct styles.
