THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE WORD CARD GAME IN THE LEARNING PROCESS OF THE GERMAN SPEAKING SKILL AMONG THE STUDENTS OF X GRADE SMAN 1 IMOGIRI BANTUL
Abstract
This study aimed to determine (1) the significance differences of German speaking skill achievement to the students X SMA Negeri 1 Imogiri Bantul students between who taught using word card game media and conventional media, (2) the effectiveness using word card game media in the learning process of German speaking skill. The type of this study is a quasi-experiment. The designs are pre-test and post-test control group design. The content and the validity construct are used for the validity test. In analyzing the data, the researcher uses t-test. The result of the research uses t-test shows tarithmetic2,495 is bigger than ttable 2,000 with the significant level α = 5%. It shows significant differentiation between experiment class and control class in the German speaking skill. The effectiveness is 9,1%. The average value of experiment class is 9,930 which bigger than control class 9,578. Thus, word card game media is effective for learning German speaking skill process.
