THE EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE GERMAN WRITING SKILLS OF THE X1 GRADE 1 STUDENTS OF SMA N 1 PENGASIH KULON PROGO THROUGH THE “QUICK ON THE DRAW” TECHNIQUE
Abstract
The research was aimed improving (1)the German writing skills of the X1 grade 1 students of Social class of SMA N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo through the quick on the draw technique and (2) the student’s interess in studying German writing skills. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Every cycle consisted of four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject was the X1 grade 1 students of social class of SMA N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo. Data analysis was qualitative descriptive. The resultof the study showed that (1) there was some improvement in the average marks of the students of grade X1 Social 1 of SMA N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo in the German writing skills which was 36,19% and (2) there was some improvement on the grade X1 students of Social 1 of SMA N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo in terms of their active involvement in the teaching and lerning process of German writing skills which was 49,96%.
