THE EFFECTIVENES OF THE EVERYONE IS A TEACHER HERE METHOD IN THE TEACHING OF THE GERMAN SPEAKING SKILL IN GRADE XI SMA NEGERI 1 PENGASIH KULON PROGO
Abstract
This study aimed to determine: (1) differences in learning achievement of German speaking skills in grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo between classes that are taught using Everyone Is A Teacher Here method and classes are taught using conventional method, (2) the effectiveness of the Everyone Is A Teacher Here method on German speaking skills in grade XI SMA Negeri 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo. This research was a quasi experimental. The population is all class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo amounting to 106. Sampling technique using simple random sampling, where the class XI Social 3 (28 students) as an experimental class and the class XI Social 2 (27 students) as a control class. The data of the research were taken from the pre-test and post-test. The validity used was content and construct validity. The data analysis used in this research was t-test. The result of the research showed that the ttest (2,404) was greater than the ttable (2,009), with the significance level of 0,05. It can be concluded (1) there are significant differences in learning achievement of German speaking skills in grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo between classes that are taught using Everyone Is A Teacher Here method and classes are taught using conventional method. The effectiveness value was 8,8%. In conclusion, the use of the Everyone Is A Teacher Here method in the learning of German speaking skill is effective.
