THE EFFORT TO IMPROVE THE GERMAN SPEAKING SKILL OF THE GRADE X STUDENT OF THE LANGUAGE PROGRAM SMA N 2 WONOSARI THROUGH THE WÜRFELBRETTSPIEL GAME

Abstract


This study aims to improve (1) speaking skill in German of  gradeXstudents of the language program SMA N 2 Wonosariusing the würfelbrettspielgame, (2) activity the learners of  gradeX students of the language program SMA N 2 Wonosariusing the würfelbrettspielgame.  The type of this study is the Classroom Action Research (CAR)consisted of 2 cycles. Each of the cycles consisted of 4 steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection.The strategy was determined collaboratively between researcher, teacher, and students. The subjects are eightteenstudents in the gradeX students of the language program SMA N 2 Wonosari. The data in this study were obtained through interviews, observation, questionnaires, field notes and speaking skill test in German. The data was analyzed by using  qualitative descriptive analysis.  The result of this research indicatescan improve speaking skill in German in the gradeX students of the languageprogram SMA N 2 Wonosari using the würfelbrettspielgameand also an increase learners activityof grade X students of the language programSMA N 2 Wonosariusing the würfelbrettspielgame.The improvement of the average grades of the student’s German speaking skill reaches 45,82,%and to the second cycle of learners activity improvement reaches 76,01%.
