THE COSTRUCTION OF ANGLICISMS IN THE GERMAN COMPOSITES IN THE YOUTH MAGAZINE OF BRAVO

Abstract

This study was for (1) describing the elements of formation of German composite from English on German youth magazine named BRAVO and (2) describing the meaning of German composite made of that English on German youth magazine named BRAVO.This study was descriptive qualitative.This study data was lingual unit in German composite containing the elements of formation of English. The data was gained by listening and writing technique.Data analysis used match method. The main Instrument was the writers (human instrument). The validity decision of data was gained using semantic and referential validity. Reliability of this study used intrarater and interrater. Study result was 38 data of German composite made of composition English vocabulary and German vocabulary.Those data was grouped into 2 namely (1) German composite with the element of formation from English and German language consisting 22 data.Formation element was made of combination N+ N consisting 20 data, Adj. + N consisting 1 datum, dan Adv. + N consisting 1 data and (2) German composite with formation element of English and German language consisting 16 data. Formation element was made of combination composite of N + N. The meaning of English vocabulary in German composite on German youth magazine named BRAVO found in 2 things.There were increasing meaning (Bedeutungserweiterung) and decreasing meaning (Bedeutungsverengung).
