Fenomena Impulsive Buying: Peran Parenting dan Lifestyle Terhadap Kesiapan Mental Finansial Generasi Z

Abstract


Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh parenting style dan lifestyle terhadap kesiapan mental finansial Generasi Z, dengan hubungan tersebut dimediasi oleh impulsive buying. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif eksplanatori. Melalui kuesioner daring dan teknik purposive sampling, data dikumpulkan dari 483 responden Generasi Z di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) berbantuan aplikasi SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan pengaruh signifikan parenting style dan lifestyle terhadap impulsive buying maupun kesiapan mental finansial. Impulsive buying terbukti memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kesiapan mental finansial serta berperan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara lifestyle dan kesiapan mental finansial. Nilai R-Square  mencapai 0,398 dan 0,520 mengindikasikan kemampuan penjelasan model pada kategori moderat. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pola pengasuhan finansial dan gaya hidup dalam membentuk perilaku konsumtif serta kesiapan mental finansial Generasi Z.
