PENGARUH LATIHAN CORE STABILITY TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KELINCAHAN PEMAIN BULUTANGKIS DI PB PERSADA KULON PROGO EFFECT OF CORE STABILITY TRAINING ON AGILITY IMPROVEMENT OF BADMINTON PLAYER IN PB PERSADA KULON PROGO

Abstract


Abstrak  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan core stability terhadap peningkatan kelincahan pemain bulutangkis di PB Persada Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain “Control Groups Pretest-Posttest Design”. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pemain bulutangkis PB Persada Kulon Progo yang berjumlah 56 orang, Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan purposive sampling, dengan kriteria (1) daftar hadir latihan minimal 75% (keaktifan mengikuti latihan pada saat treatment), (2) pemain bulutangkis PB Persada Kulon Progo berusia 13-14 tahun, (3) bersedia untuk mengikuti perlakuan sampai akhir, dan (4) tidak dalam keadaan sakit. Berdasarkan kriteria tersebut yang memenuhi berjumlah 12 orang. Seluruh sampel dikenai pretest kelincahan bulutangkis untuk menentukan kelompok treatment, diranking nilai pretest-nya, kemudian dipasangkan (matched) dengan pola A-B-B-A dalam dua kelompok dengan anggota masing-masing 6 orang. Instrumen menggunakan tes rangkaian olah kaki, dengan validitas sebesar 0,98 dan reliabilitas sebesar 0,93. Analisis data menggunakan uji t taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Ada pengaruh yang signifikan latihan core stability terhadap peningkatan kelincahan pemain bulutangkis di PB Persada Kulon Progo, dengan t hitung 5,653 > t tabel 2,571, dan nilai signifikansi 0,002 < 0,05, kenaikan persentase sebesar 35%. (2) Kelompok eksperimen dengan latihan core stability lebih baik daripada kelompok kontrol terhadap peningkatan kelincahan pemain bulutangkis di PB Persada Kulon Progo, dengan t hitung 3,286 > t tabel = 2,228 dan sig, 0,008 < 0,05.

Abstract  The research aims to determine effect of core stability training on improving the agility of badminton players at PB (Badminton Association) Persada Kulon Progo. This research used experimental method with "Control Groups Pretest-Posttest Design" design. Research population was PB Persada Kulon Progo badminton players 56 players. Research sampling was conducted by purposive sampling with criteria (1) training attendance list of at least 75% (active training during treatment), (2) badminton players of PB Persada Kulon Progo aged 13-14 years old, (3) willing to take treatment until the end, and (4) not in unhealthy condition. Based on these criteria, there were 12 players. All samples were subjected to badminton agility pretest to determine the treatment group, ranked the pretest value, then matched with A-B-B-A pattern in two groups with 6 members each. Instrument used a series of foot tests, with validity 0.98 and reliability 0.93. Data analysis used t test at significance level 5%. Research results show that (1) there is significant effect of core stability training on increasing agility of badminton players at PB Persada Kulon Progo, with t calculate 5.653> t table 2.571, and significance value 0.002 <0.05, percentage increase 35%. (2) The experimental group with core stability training is better than the control group to increase agility of badminton players in PB Persada Kulon Progo, with t calculate 3.286> t table = 2.28 and sig. 0.008 <0.05.
