Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan siswa kelas IV dan V tentang
pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut di SD Negeri 1 Kutawis, kecamatan Bukateja, kabupaten
Purbalingga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan metode survei
dengan kuesioner berupa tes benar-salah, kemudian uji validitas instrumen menggunakan rumus
Product Moment dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Subjek dalam penelitian
ini adalah siswa kelas IV dan V SD Negeri 1 Kutawis dengan jumlah 60 anak, diambil menggunakan
total sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan presentase. Hasil
penelitian tingkat pengetahuan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut siswa kelas IV dan V SDN 1
Kutawis yang berada pada kategori rendah sebesar 23,33%, kategori sedang 52,67% dan kategori
tinggi 25%.

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine the levelof knowledge of fourth and fifth grade
students about the oral and dental health maintenance in SD Negeri 1 (Elementary School) Kutawis,
district Bukateja, Purbalingga. The research was descriptive quantitative by using survey methode
with questionnaire in the form of true-false test, then test for the validity by using the Product Moment
formula and the reliability test by using Alpha Cronbach formula. The subjects in the research were
students of grade IV and V in SD Negeri 1 Kutawis consisting of 60 students taken by using total
sampling. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics with percentage. The research result
on the knowledge level of dental and oral health maintenance of fourth and fifth grade students in SD
Negeri 1 Kutawis in the low category by 23,33%, medium category by 52,67% and the higt category
by 25%.
