Abstract

Abstract
The purpose of making a home security system prototype with KTP-EL authentication is to improve home security so that it is expected to provide security to homeowners. The design of the home security system prototype with KTP-EL authentication consists of several stages starting from the needs identification stage, needs analysis, circuit design, modifying tools, program flowcharts, tool evaluation, and data retrieval. The main components used as the main control are Arduino Mega 2560. SIM800L and handphone as communication for SMS (Short Message Service). Selenoid lock is used to lock doors and windows. Magnetic switches as door and window safety sensors. PIR sensor as a detector sensor in the room. Based on the test results, the RFID module can read with a maximum distance of 4.5 cm and can penetrate nonmetallic barriers. The PIR sensor can detect with a 7m range and a 110˚ angle view. Magnetic switches and selenoid lock work according to the input signal. Communication between SMS (Short Message Service) between SIM800L and handphone has an average delay of 5 seconds. The results of testing the system performance can work in accordance with the function and purpose.
Keywords: Home security, KTP-El, Sensor PIR, SMS (Short Message Service).
