PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENGENDALI DAYA TEGANGAN RENDAH MELALUI MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI)

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Pengendali Daya Tegangan Rendah; (2) peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa pada pelajaran Pengendali Daya Tegangan Rendah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research), desain penelitian ini mengacu rancangan model Kemmis & Taggart. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas 11 Program Keahlian Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik SMK 1 Sedayu Bantul, sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak satu kelas yang terdiri dari 29 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Pengendali Daya Tegangan Rendah. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat antara pra siklus dengan siklus pertama; (2) terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Pengendali Daya Tegangan Rendah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation. Peningkatan hasil belajar tersebut adalah sebesar 29,69% peningkatan tersebut diperoleh dari hasil pencapaian evaluasi dari pra siklus ke siklus pertama. Peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa 35,7% diperoleh dari observasi yang dilakukan dari setiap pembelajaran pada masing-masing siklus.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to know: (1) the ability of the implementation of cooperative learning model, group investigation type, in order to improve students’ learning outcomes in Low Voltage Power Controller subject; (2) the increase of students' learning activeness in subject of Low Voltage Power Controller using cooperative learning model, group investigation type. This study was action research and the design refered to the model developed by Kemmis & Taggart. The study population was 11th grade Electric Power Installation Technique Program students at SMK 1 Sedayu Bantul. The sample was one class consisted of 29 students. Data were collected by conducting tests and observation. The data analysis was done using descriptive statistics. The results showed that: (1) the application of the model group investigation model of cooperative learning was able to improve students’ learning outcomes on Low Voltage Power Controller subject. The improvement was seen between pre-cycle and the first cycle; (2) the increasing of students’ learning activeness on Low Voltage Power Controller subject using cooperative learning model, group investigation type. The increasing of the learning outcome was 29.69 % obtained from the evaluation on achievement between pre-cycle the first cycle. The improvement of students' learning activeness was 35.7 % obtained from observations in each lesson in each cycle.
