THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERACTIVE LEARNING MULTIMEDIA ON BASIC COMPETENCE IN IDENTIFYING THE EXISTING NORMS IN SOCIETY IN CLASS GRADE VII

This research is aimed at (1) creating an interactive learning multimedia that is proper for basic competence in “Identifying the existing norms in society” in class grade VII Junior High School 1 Sungai Lilin; (2) describing the effectivity test of interactive learning multimedia on the basic competence of identifying the existing of norms in the society in class grade VII Junior High School 1 Sungai Lilin.
This research belongs to Research and Development (R & D) by adapting the Sugiono’s development model which consists of some stages: (1) Potential and problems identification; (2) Literature study and information collection; (3) Product design development; (4) Design validation; (5) Design revision; (6) Product realization; (7) Limited product trial; (8) Product revision; and (9) Usage trial.
This study shows that interactive learning multimedia is considered proper for trial with the average score of 76,16 (proper category). Interactive learning multimedia is considered effective for the students’ study result after conducting the field product trial. It shows that there is improvement on the students’ performance with average score of 29,3 (45,66%) and N-gain of 0,82 (high category).
