THE RELATIONSHIP MASTERY BETWEEN OF MATERIAL LAW WITH AN ATTITUDE OF TRAFFIC DISCIPLINE OF THE STUDENTS AT SEVENTH GRADE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 4 DEPOK
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to describe the relationship mastery of the law with an attitude of traffic discipline in sevent grade Junior High School 4 Depok.
The research used correlation research methods by the quantitative approach. The variable in this study is the mastery of the law given the symbol X and the traffic discipline stance given the symbol Y. The population research are the students of seventh Junior High School 4 Depok which totaled 127 students consisting of 4 classes. For determining the research subject, the researchers use purposive sampling technique with 75% of population. Data were collected by the study of documentation taking from examinations of the subjects civic education on Basic Competency 1.2 and 1.3 in the material laws for variable material mastery of the law, and also the question form for variable traffic discipline attitude. To reach the validity of the question form, the researcher pplied Correlation Product Moment technique.The reliability test instrument used Alpha Cronbach formula. To examine the normality of the sample used the sample Kolmogrov Smirnov-trials and linerarity test. Then the data were analysed by Pearson Product Moment Correlation techniques.
The result of this research showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between mastery of law with an attitude of traffic discipline in seventh grade Junior High School 4 Depok. The values of r is 0.229 with probability 0.026 and the determination coefficient 5.24%. From the 95 students examined, the level mastery of the law students in the very high level are 30 students (31.58%), 49 students (51.57%) in high level,16 students (16.85%) in medium level, and there is zero (0%) in low and very low level. While the level of traffic discipline students within the category of very high are 4 students (4.21%), 51 students (53.68%) in high level, 39 students (41.05%) in medium level, 1 student (1.06%) in low level, and zero student (0%) in very low level.
