THE COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL IN THE FORM OF NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER AND SNOWBALL THROWING TOWARD THE STUDENT’S CIVIC EDUCATIONS LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT
Abstract
Abstract-The study aims to compare between influence of Numbered Heads Together and Snowball Throwing of cooperative learning achievment of Civic Education class for 8st grade student at SMP Negeri 2 Pengasih.
The research’s type was quasi experiment. Population of this research were all of the 8st grade student at SMP Negeri 2 Pengasih with 128 students. Technique of getting sample in this research was using simple random sampling in 8st B class as an experiment class 1 (32 students) and 8st class as experiment 2 class (32 students). Mechanism for getting data was using test and documentation. Thecnique of analyzing data was using t-test with 5% significance.
The result showed that cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together more influential than cooperative learning model type Snowball Throwing to increase student’s achievement of study Civic Education class for 8st grade student at SMP Negeri 2 Pengasih. It showed that the tcount was larger than ttable (4,070>1,670) and the result of means of Gain Score the experiment class 1 was is of 0,4652 indicating the effectiveness is medium categories while those of experiment class 2 was 0,4652 that indicating the effectiveness is low categories.
