THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE LEGAL KNOWLEDGE WITH THE LEVEL OF THE COMPLIANCE TO THE SCHOOL RULES IN GRADE X SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL OF 4 YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
This study is aimed at finding out the relationship between the legal knowledge with the level of compliance to school rules in class X Senior High School of 4 Yogyakarta.
The method used is correlational research methods with quantitative approach. The variable in this study is a free variable is a legal knowledge and the dependent variable is the level of compliance to school rules. The population in this study were students of class X Senior High School of 4 Yogyakarta totaling 258 students from eighth grade. The sampling technique using simple random sampling technique. The sampling is done randomly by raffle the 8 class. Samples used as much as 35% or 95 students from 3 class. Samples used as much as 35% or 95 students. Data collection technique used a test for legal knowledge and a questionnaire for the level of compliance to school rules. the validity test of the two instruments using product moment correlation formula. The reliability test of the test instrument using the formula K-R 20, while the reliability test of questionnaire instrument using Alpha Acronbach formula. Test requirements analysis, the sample normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and linearity test. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique.
The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the legal knowledge with the level of compliance to the school rules in class X Senior High School of 4 Yogyakarta. Count r value of 0.456 with a probability of 0.000 and the coefficient of determination 20.79%. From the 95 students who studied, the level of knowledge of the law students in very high category there were 25 children (26.32%), high category there are 67 children (70.53%), moderate category there are three children (3.16%), low category No child 0 (0%), and the very low category No child 0 (0%). While the level of compliance of the students against the school rules in the very high category there are 46 children (48.42%), high category there are 48 children (50.53%), moderate category No 1 child (1.05%), lower category there are 0 children (0%), and the very low category No child 0 (0%).
