THE EFFORTS OF KPUD TO GUARANTEE THE SUFFRAGE FOR SPECIAL VOTERS IN THE LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS, PRESIDENTIAL AND VICE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN KULON PROGO DISTRICT 2014
Abstract
This research is aims to tells the efforts of KPUD to guarantee the suffrage for special voters in the legislative elections, presidential and vice presidential election in Kulon Progo district. Beside that to describe the obstacles of KPUD to guarantee the suffrage for special voters.
This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subject is (1) Chief of KPUD; (2) Chief of the organizing division; (3) Chief of the technical and public relations; and (4) Staff on the technical and public relations. The method to collecting data is used structured interview method and documentation. The inquiry to technical validity data is used cross check technic. The method of data analysis is used qualitative technic, that is: data collecting, data reduction, data display, and conclusions.
The results of this research are gave the license for the special voters to used their suffrage, give the socialization for publics about the special voters. Give the facility to the public for registered on the special voters list, and extend the times for registered on the special voters to people who haven’t registered. Next, the barriers experienced of KPUD to guarantee the suffrage for special voters are the KPUD is passive, in the meaning of the KPUD can’t participate directly in the process of registered the special voters. Lack of awareness level of political participation, and limitation the people who has sick.
