THE EFFECT OF ROLE PLAYING METHOD FOR STUDENT’S DEMOCRATIC ATTITUDES IN PANCASILA AND CIVIC EDUCATION SUBJECT

ABSTRACT
This research aims to know the effect of role playing method for student’s democratic attitudes in Pancasila and Civic Education subject in grade VIII at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Negeri 6 Bantul. The type of this research is using experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research is all the students in grade VIII at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Negeri 6 Bantul with a total of 211 students. The sampling method is taken by random. The sample are divide in class is for experimental class and the class is for control class. The instrument of the data is questionnaire and observation sheets. To test the instrument of this research used correlation product moment and Alpha’s Cronbanch test. The data analysis technique is using T-test and T-experiment that done. The result of this research is show that there are significance effects of role playing method for improved the student’s democratic attitude. The result is proved by the significance score 0,000 < 0,05. Besides, the result is support by the result of the observation show that experiment class have a good category there are 27 students (77,7%), medium category are 22,9% and low category 0% whereas control class have a good category there are 48,6%, medium category are 51,4% and low category are 0 %. This research indicate that there are significance effect of role playing toward student’s democratic attitude in Pancasila and Civic Education subject in grade VIII at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Negeri 6 Bantul.
