STUDI EKSPLORASI KESIAPAN GURU IPS SMP DALAM MELAKSANAKAN PEMBELAJARAN BERDASARKAN KURIKULUM 2013 DI KABUPATEN GUNUNGKIDUL

Abstract


This study aims to investigate: (1) the readiness of Social Studies teachers in junior high schools (JHSs) in Gunungkidul Regency in lesson planning based on Curriculum 2013, (2) their readiness in the learning implementation based on Curriculum 2013, and (3) their readiness in the learning assessment based on Curriculum 2013. This was an ex post facto study using the quantitative approach. The variable in the study was the readiness of Social Studies in JHSs in Gunungkidul Regency in the learning implementation based on Curriculum 2013. The research population comprised all Social Studies teachers in public JHSs in Gunungkidul Regency with a total of 152 teachers. The sample, consisting of 76 teachers, was selected through the proportional cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected through a questionnaire and documentation. The instrument validity was assessed by the product-moment correlation and the reliability of Cronbach’s Alpha. The data analysis technique was descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study show that: 1) the readiness of Social Studies teachers in JHSs in Gunungkidul Regency in lesson planning based on Curriculum 2013 is very good, meaning that they can design lesson plans per Curriculum 2013; 2) their readiness in the learning implementation based on Curriculum 2013 is very good, meaning that they can implement learning using scientific approach under Curriculum 2013; and 3) their readiness in the learning assessment based on Curriculum 2013 is very good, meaning that they can conduct authentic assessment under Curriculum 2013.
