HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEAKTIFAN MAHASISWA DALAM ORGANISASI KEMAHASISWAAN DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN IPS FIS UNY
Abstract
This was a correlational study using the ex post facto design and the data collection techniques were a questionnaire and documentation. The instrument validity was assessed by the product moment correlation formula by Karl Pearson and the instrument reliability was assessed by the Cronbach’s Alpha formula. Before the data were analyzed, analysis assumption tests, consisting of tests of normality, linearity, and multicollinearity, were conducted. The data analysis methods were the product moment correlation analysis to test the first and second hypotheses and the multiple regression analysis to test the third hypothesis.
The results of the study are as follows. (1) There is no significant relationship between the activeness in student organizations and the learning motivation among students of Social Studies Education, FSS, YSU; this is indicated by robserved = 0.189 < rtable = 0.224. (2) There is no significant relationship between their activeness in student organizations and their learning achievement; this is indicated by robserved = 0.183 < rtable = 0.224. (3) There is a significant positive relationship between their learning motivation and their learning achievement; this is indicated by robserved = 0.924 > rtable = 0.224. (4) There a significant positive relationship between their activeness in student organizations and learning motivation and their learning achievement; this is indicated by Ry(1,2) = 0.924 with Fobserved = 210.474 > Ftable = 3.11 and a significance of 0.000.
