PENGEMBANGAN KARTU SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL SISWA KELAS VII SMP DENGAN MATERI PROSES ENDOGEN DAN EKSOGEN
Abstract
This study aimed to: 1) develop cards for Social Studies learning media for the topic of endogenic and exogenic processes for Grade VII of the junior high school (JHS), and 2) investigate the appropriateness of the cards media based on the assessment by a materials expert, a media expert, a Social Studies teacher, and students’ responses.
This was a Research and Development (RnD) study referring to the model by Sugiyono. The research subjects were Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Berbah. The data collecting instruments were assessment sheets for validation experts and questionnaires for the application testing involving the students and the Social Studies teacher. The data analysis technique was the descriptive technique using the quantitative approach.

devoleped media called the endogenic and exogenic processes material card, b) the card consists of 32 pieces of paper with size 8x12cm and an A4 paper as an intruction, c) the card consists of material and picture, 2) The quality of the cards based on the validation by the materials expert attained a mean score of 4.23, which was very good; based on the validation by the media expert it attained a mean score of 4.09, which was good; based on the assessment by the Social Studies teacher it attained a mean score of 4.44, which was very good; through the small-scale tryout involving 4 students it attained a mean score of 3.54, which was good; and through the media application testing by the students it attained a mean score of 3.94, which was good. Based on the attained mean scores, the cards are appropriate as Social Studies learning media with a good category.
