This studyfocuses onthe unitshifts thatoccurin the English– BahasaIndonesiatranslationof TheAdventuresofTintin: the Secret the Unicorn.Thisstudyisaimed to(1)identifythe typesofunit shiftsoccuringinThe AdventuresofTintin:The Secretthe Unicorn (2)identifyunitshiftsaffectingthe meaningequivalence inAnimated Movie theAdventuresofTintin:TheSecrettheUnicorn.

Thisresearch is classified into the descriptive study. The sourceofthe datainthisstudyisthe movie entitledThe AdventuresofTintin:The Secret the Unicorn premiered in2008 bySonyColumbia Pictures Company. The data sourcesofthis studyarethe movie and thesubtitletext inthe movie. The typesofshifts used toanalysesare unitshifts.The data gatheredwhichare inthe formofwords, phrases, clausesand sentences ofThe AdventuresofTintin:TheSecretthe Unicornthe moviesand subtitletextare classified based on the unitshiftsand meaningequivalence.The firstresearchinstrument isthe

However;the writertries to draw a conclusion thatmostofthe shiftsoccurringdoesnotaffect the meaningfromSL to TL.
