PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PENGUCAPAN KONSONAN BILABIAL [B] DAN [P] MELALUI METODE VISUAL AUDITORI KINESTETIK DAN TAKTIL BAGI SISWA TUNARUNGU KELAS DASAR 5A DI SLB B KARNNAMANOHARA

Abstract


Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pengucapan konsonan bilabial [b] dan [p] dalam kata bagi siswa tunarungu kelas Dasar 5A di SLB B Karnnamanohara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A’. Subjek penelitian berjumlah satu orang siswa tunarungu yang berada pada jenjang kelas Dasar 5A. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode tes dan metode observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan teknik analisis visual dalam kondisi dan antar kondisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode VAKT mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pengucapan konsonan bilabial [b] dan [p] siwa tunarungu kelas Dasar 5A di SLB B Karnnamanohara. Hal ini terbukti dengan adanya peningkatan perolehan mean level pada fase baseline-1 (A1) sebesar 29,2%, fase intervensi (B) sebesar 44,78% dan fase baseline-2 (A2) sebesar 56,94%. Tingkat kestabilan data pada fase baseline-1 (A1), fase intervensi (B) dan fase baseline-2 (A-2) sebesar 100%. Persentase data tumpang tindih (overlap) antar kondisi sebesar 0% menunjukkan bahwa metode VAKT mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pengucapan konsonan bilabial [b] dan [p] siswa tunarungu kelas Dasar 5A di SLB B Karnnamanohara.

Abstract :This research was aimed to disclose the improvement on the ability to enunciate bilabial consonant [b] and [p] in words through the method of Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic and Tactile (VAKT) for a student with hearing impairment in grade 5A of SLB B Karnnamanohara. This research used a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. The type of the experimental research used was Single Subject Research (SSR) with an A-B-A’ design. The subject was a student with hearing impairment in grade 5A of elementary level. The data retrieval was done by using the test and observation employed to discover the capability to utter bilabial consonants [b] and [p] in words. The data was analyzed by employing a descriptive method with a visual technique in the condition and inter-condition. The result of the research showed that the method of VAKT could improve the ability to enunciate bilabial consonant [b] and [p] for a hearing-impaired student in grade 5A of SLB B Karnnamanohara. This was proved that the acquisition of mean level in the baseline-1 phase (A1) was 29,2%, the intervening phase (B) was 44,78% and the baseline-2 phase (A2) was 56,94%. The level of data stability in the baseline-1 phase (A1), the intervening phase (B) and the baseline-2 phase (A2) was 100%. The percentage of overlapping data for inter-condition was 0%, which showed that the method of VAKT could increase the capability to pronounce bilabial consonant [b] and [p] for a student living with hearing impairment in grade 5A of SLB B Karnnamanohara.
