Abstract

ABSTRACT
This research is motivated by the experience of researchers who have never found a form of sprint training in a downward trajectory. This study aims to determine the effect of sprint training on the descending track on volleyball athlete speed.
The research method used was an experiment with a "one group pretest posttest design" design. Sample criteria: (1) female volleyball athlete Yuso Sleman, (2) adolescents, (3) have been training for 1 year, (4) speeds from 10.00 seconds to 11.10 seconds / 60 meters. The instrument used in this study was the 60 meter sprint run test. The data analysis technique of this study used the t test (paired sample t-test).
The results showed that there was a significant influence of sprints on the track to the speed of Yuso Sleman female teenage volleyball athletes significantly. t test results obtained t count (3.237)> t table (2.898) and P (0.005) <α (0.05). The average travel time before and after treatment is 10.63 seconds and 10.43 seconds.

Keywords: sprint on the track decreases, athlete's speed
