PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS NARASI MELALUI GAMBAR SERI SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI BAKALAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk peningkatan kemampuan menulis narasi melalui gambar berseri siswa kelas IV SDN Bakalan Sewon. Jenis penelitian digunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Bakalan yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Tanggart. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan observasi dan tes. Metode analisis data penelitian digunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan menulis narasi siswa kelas IV SDN Bakalan dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan gambar berseri. Peningkatan terjadi pada: (1) proses pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan ke arah yang lebih baik di setiap siklus, yaitu perhatian terhadap pembelajaran, semangat belajar, perkembangan dalam EYD, dan kemapuan mengembangkan kerangka pikir, (2) hasil kemampuan siswa dalam menulis narasi juga mengalami peningkatan pada pratindakan nilai rata-rata dan ketuntasan siswa hanya 65.95 dan 9% dari seluruh siswa, siklus I menjadi 75.36 dan 64% , dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 80.04 dan 95%.

Abstract
This study aimed to improve narrative writing skills through picture series among Grade IV students of SDN Bakalan, Sewon. This was a classroom action research study. The research subjects were Grade IV students of SDN Bakalan with a total of 22 students. The research design used the model by Kemmis and McTaggart. The data were collected through observations and tests. They were analyzed by means of the qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that the narrative writing skills of Grade IV students of SDN Bakalan improved through picture series. The improvement was manifested in: (1) the learning process, indicated by their attention to learning, learning spirit, improvement in Indonesian standard spelling and punctuation, and conceptual framework developing skills; and (2) their improvement in narrative writing skills, indicated by their mean scores and learning mastery from the pre-cycle to Cycle II, which were, respectively, 65.95 and 9% of all the students in the pre-cycle, 75.36 and 65% in Cycle I, and 80.04 and 95% in Cycle II.
