PENGARUH KEAKTIFAN MENGIKUTI PERKEMAHAN DALAM PENDIDIKAN KEPRAMUKAAN TERHADAP KARAKTER MANDIRI

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keaktifan mengikuti perkemahan dalam pendidikan kepramukaan terhadap karakter mandiri siswa kelas VI Sekolah Dasar se-Gugus III Kecamatan Depok Kabupaten Sleman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi subjek penelitan berjumlah 297 siswa dengan ukuran sampel sebanyak 170 siswa yang ditentukan berdasarkan rumus Slovin. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala psikologi. Pengolahan data dengan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, penghitungan persentase, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, serta uji hipotesis dengan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel keaktifan mengikuti perkemahan dalam  pendidikan  kepramukaan dengan karakter mandiri siswa. Hal ini diketahui dari nilai signifikansi atau (p) sebesar 0,000 berarti nilai p < 0,05 sehingga hubungan kedua variabel signifikan. Nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,805 dan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,646 dengan persamaan regresi Y’ = 20,241 + 0,538X. Besarnya kontribusi efektif dari keaktifan mengikuti perkemahan dalam pendidikan kepramukaan terhadap karakter mandiri sebesar 64,6%.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of joining the camp actively in scout education towards autonomous character of the sixth graders of elementary school students in cluster III at Depok, Sleman. The type of this research was ex-post facto research with quantitative approach. The population of the research subjects were 297 students in which the sample were 170 students determined by using Slovin’s formula. The sampling technique was done by using simple random sampling. The data was collected using psychological scale. The data was processed using validity and reliability test, percentage calculation, normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis test through simple regression analysis. The result of this research shows the positive and significant effect of joining the camp actively in scout education towards students’ autonomous character. This finding is known from significancy value or (p) is 0,000 which means the value or p < 0,05, hence the relationship of both variables is significant. The value of correlation coefficient is 0,805 and the value of determination coefficient (R2) is 0,646 with the regression equation is Y’ = 20,241 + 0,538X. The value of effective contribution of joining the camp actively in scout education towards students’ autonomous character is 64,6%.
