PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN MELALUI METODE DISKUSI TIPE BUZZ GROUP

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran PKn dengan menggunakan metode diskusi tipe buzz group pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Suryodiningratan I. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjeknya adalah siswa kelas V. Berjumlah 21 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan addalah observasi dan tes. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada peningkatan terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode diskusi tipe buzz group. Pada siklus I diperoleh peningkatan hasil belajar dengan nilai rata-rata siswa 73,09, siswa yang mencapai KKM adalah 11 siswa atau 52%, sementara yang tidak mencapai KKM sebanyak 10 siswa atau 48%. Sementara pada siklus II nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa adalah 85,33, siswa yang mencapai KKM sebanyak 19 siswa atau 90% dan yang belum tuntas sebanyak 2 siswa atau 10%. Hasil belajar pada siklus II telah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan karena ≥80 siswa sudah mencapai KKM.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve Civic Education learning achievement through the discussion method of the buzz group type among Grade V students of SD Negeri Suryodiningratan I. This was an action research study. The subjects were 21 students of Grade V. The data collecting techniques were observations and test. The data were analyzed by the quantitative descriptive technique. The results of the study showed that there was an improvement of the students’ learning achievement throught the discussion method of the buzz group type. In Cycle I, the improvement of the learning achievement was indicated by the students’ mean score of 73,49 and 11 students or 52% attained the minimum mastery criterion (MMC) while 10 students or 48% did not attain it. In Cycle II, their mean score was 85,33, and 19 students 90% attained MMC and 2 students or 10% did not attain it. The learning achievement in Cycle II satisfied the indicator of the success because ≥80% of the students attained MMC.
