PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MATERI PEMELIHARAAN KESEHATAN TUBUH MANUSIA MELALUI MODEL CTL KELAS IV SD

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada materi pemeliharaan kesehatan tubuh manusia melalui model CTL di kelas IV SD Sawit, Sewon, Bantul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek siswa kelas IV SD Sawit dan objeknya meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada materi pemeliharaan kesehatan tubuh manusia. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah soal tes, observasi dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan dengan model CTL dapat meningkatkn hasil belajar IPA. Hal ini ditujukan dengan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II dimana siklus I nilai rata-ratanya adalah 74,09 meningkat pada siklus II menjadi nilai rata-ratanya 86,66. Selain itu menggunakan model CTL dapat membantu guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajan sehigga siswa tidak mudah bosan dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dan mengkaitkan materi yang dipelajari dalam kehidupan nyata. Dengan demikinan model CTL meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA.

Abstract

This study aims at improving the Science learning achievement in the topic of human health maintenance through the CTL model in Grade IV of SD Sawit, Sewon, Bantul. This was a classroom action research (CAR) study involving the subjects who were Grade IV students of SD Sawit and the object was the improvement of the Science learning achievement in the topic of human health maintenance. The data were collected through tests, observations, and field notes. The results of the study show that the CTL model was capable of improving the Science learning achievement. This was indicated by the improvement of the students’ learning achievement from Cycle I to Cycle II. In Cycle I the mean score was 74.09 and in Cycle II it improved to 86.66. In addition, the use of the CTL model helped the teacher to implement learning so that the students did not get bored easily in learning and to relate the learning materials to real life. Therefore, the CTL model improved the Science learning achievement.
