PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA SD KANISIUS PUGERAN MELALUI METODE KUNJUNG KARYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas 5 SD Kanisius Pugeran melalui metode kunjung karya dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Tanggart. Langkahnya: perencanaan, tindakan, refleksi, dan observasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 19 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah tingkat motivasi belajar siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Metode kunjung karya dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa didasarkan pada hasil siklus I bahwa siswa masih ada yang belum aktif belajar kelompok dengan persentase 60,9% dengan kategori tinggi. Siklus II, guru menyampaikan materi dan membagi kelompok secara heterogen dengan persentase meningkat menjadi70,7% kategori tinggi. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa metode kunjung karya dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas 5.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning motivation of grade 5 students of SD Kanisius Pugeran through the work visit method in science learning. This was a classroom action research study conducted collaboratively. The research design used Kemmis and Mc Taggart’s model. The step were planning, action, observation and reflection. The study was conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 19 students. The research object was the level of students’ learning motivation. The data were collected through observations. The data analysis techniques were quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The results of the study shows that the work visit method is capable of improving the students’ learning motivation. The results of Cycle I showed that there were some students who were not active in group learning with a percentage of 60.9%, which was high. In cycle II, the teacher delivered the materials and devided the students into heterogeneous groups; the activeness improved with a percentage of 70.7%, which was high. This showed that the work visit method was capable of improving Grade 5 students’ learning motivation.
