PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR PKn MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM SOLVING

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) dengan menggunakan strategi problem solving. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), PTK ini dilakuan dua siklus. Siklus I terdiri atas 2 pertemuan, dan siklus II terdiri atas dua pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVB SD Negeri Kotagede I yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian meliputi: observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi problem solving dalam pembelajaran PKn telah berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IVB SD Negeri Kotagede I Yogyakarta. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa tersebut dicapai melalui dua siklus. Hasil tersebut ditunjukkan dari adanya peningkatan hasil belajar PKn siswa dari setiap siklus. Berdasarkan hasil tes dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan strategi problem solving diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I yaitu 74,19 yang kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 84,12 seluruh siswa sudah mencapai nilai KKM 75.

Abstract
This study aims at improving students’ achievement in the Civic Education learning through the application of the problem solving model. This was a classroom action research (CAR) study conducted in two cycles. Cycle I consisted of two meetings and Cycle II consisted of two meetings. The research subjects were Grade IVB students of SD Negeri Kotagede I with a total of 31 students. The data collection methods included observations, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques were qualitative and quantitative techniques. The result of the study shows that the application of the problem solving model in the Civic Education learning is capable of improving the achievement of Grade IVB students of SD Negeri Kotagede I Yogyakarta. The improvement of the students’ learning achievement was achieved through two cycles. The results were indicated by the improvement of their Civic Education learning achievement in each cycle. Based on the test results of the learning implementation through the problem solving model, the mean score of the students’learning achievement in Cycle I was 74,19; in Cycle II it then improved to 84,12 and all students attained the score of the Minimum Mastery Standard (MMS), namely 75.
