PENERAPAN STRATEGI PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI AKTIF SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PKn

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran PKn kelas IV SDN Sawit, Sewon Bantul. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model Kemmis Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskripsi kuantitatif dan deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran PKN kelas IV melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran PBL. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil observasi dengan persentasi partisipasi aktif siswa pratindakan 42% menjadi 67% pada siklus I, kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 85%.

Abstract
This research aims to implement the Problem Based Learning strategy to increase the students’ active participation of civic education for the SD Sawit, Sewon Bantul. This research was a classroom action research using Kemmis Taggart’s model. The subject of the research were 33 students from the fourth grade. The techniques of gathering the data applied observations, interviews and documentation. The techniques of data analysis used quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The result shows that there is an increase of students’ active participation in learning civic education of the fourth grade through the implementation of learning strategy of Problem Based Learning (PBL). The increase can be see from observation result by the percentage of students’ active participation before the action which is 42% going up to 67% on the first cycle. Then it keeps increasing to 85% on the second cycle.
