PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TGT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Penelitian dilakukan di MI YAPPI Planjan Kecamatan Kesugihan Kabupaten Cilacap. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan MC Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan lembar observasi. Tes untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar kognitif siswa, sedangkan lembar observasi untuk mengumpulkan hasil pengamatan aktifitas siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPA siswa. Pada pelaksanaan pratindakan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 14,71%, sedangkan siswa yang belum tuntas 85,29%. Pada siklus I ketuntasan belajar meningkat menjadi 67,65% dan siswa yang belum tuntas 30,35%. Pada siklus II ketuntasan belajar mencapai 88,24% dan siswa yang belum tuntas 11,76%.

Abstract
This research aims at improving the students learning achievement in the Science Subject. It was done in MI YAPPI Planjan, Kesugihan Sub-district, Cilacap Regency. This research was an action research using Kemmis and MC Taggart design. The subjects of the research were the V graders. The data were collected by having tests and observations. The tests were to gain the data of the students cognitive learning achievement while the observations done by fulfilling observation sheets were to collect the data of the students’ and teacher’s activities. The results of the research show that implementing Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning could improve the students’ learning achievement in the Science Subject. In the pre-action, 14.71% of the students had passed the standard of achievement while the other 85.29% had not. In cycle I, 67.65% of the students had passed the standard of achievement while the other 30.35% students had not. In cycle II, the percentage of the students having passed the standard of achievement reached 88.24% leaving the other 11.76% who had not.
