PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MELALUI PENDEKATAN INDUKTIF PADA SISWA KELAS IV

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika materi perkalian dan pembagian pecahan siswa kelas IV. Penelitian dilakukan di SDN 3 Sugihan Kecamatan Bulukerto Kabupaten Wonogiri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan secara kolaborasi antara peneliti dengan guru kelas dengan subyek penelitiannya siswa kelas IV SDN 3
Sugihan yang terdiri dari 5 siswa perempuan dan 9 siswa laki-laki. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian dilakukan dua siklus. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa setelah guru
menggunakan pendekatan induktif dalam mengajarkan perkalian dan pembagian pecahan. Pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan prestasi belajar yaitu 50%, sedangkan siswa yang belum tuntas 50%. Pada siklus II ketuntasan siswa meningkat menjadi 100% dan siswa yang belum tuntas 0%. Begitupula dengan hasil observasi aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan, pada siklus I yaitu 51,93% pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 82, 80%.

Abstract
The study aims at improving the IV graders’ Mathematics learning achievement in the materials of fraction multiplication and division. It was done in SDN 3 Sugihan, Bulukerto Sub-district, Wonogiri Regency. This research was a classroom action research being done collaboratively by the researcher and
the class teacher by having the IV graders in SD Negeri 3 Sugihan consisting of 5 female and 9 male students as the subjects. It used the model proposed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. It was conducted in two cycles. The method used to collect the data were tests and observations. The collected data were then
analyzed by using both qualitative-descriptive and quantitative-descriptive analyses. The results of the research show improvement in the learning achievement of the students of class IV in SD Negeri 3 Sugihan, Wonogiri Regency, after the teacher used the inductive approach in explaining the materials of fraction multiplication and division. The standard of achievement was ≥70. In the pre-action, 6 (42.85%) students had passed it while the other 8 (57.15%) students had not. In cycle I, 7 (50%) students had passed it while the other 7 (50%) students had not. In cycle II, the number of those passing the standard of achievement improved to 100% which meant 0% of the students had not passed it. The improvement could also be seen from the observation results showing that the students’ activities improved from 51.93% in cycle I to 82.80% in cycle II.
