PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MELALUI METODE INKUIRI TERBIMBING DI KELAS V SD NEGERI TERBAHSARI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPA melalui penerapan metode inkuiri
terbimbing di kelas V SD Negeri Terbahsari. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Terbahsari yang
berjumlah 19 siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Desain
penelitian yang digunakan adalah model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan
tindakan dan observasi, serta refleksi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, skala
aktivitas siswa, dan LKS. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dan
kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pada siklus I pertemuan I aktivitas siswa menunjukkan 68,42% dengan
nilai rata-rata sebesar 82, pertemuan II menunjukkan 78,61% dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 87, dan pertemuan III
menunjukkan 78,89% dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 84. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan pada siklus I yaitu pada aspek
orientasi, merumuskan hipotesis sederhana, dan merumuskan kesimpulan, aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pada siklus II pertemuan I aktivitas siswa menunjukkan 82,63% dengan nilai ratarata
sebesar 80, pertemuan II menunjukkan 86,39% dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 83, dan pertemuan III
menunjukkan 90,79% dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 87. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode inkuiri
terbimbing dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPA di kelas V SD Negeri Terbahsari. Peningkatan
aktivitas siswa meliputi aspek orientasi, merumuskan hipotesis sederhana, mengumpulkan data, dan merumuskan
kesimpulan.

Abstract
The research have aims to improve activity and learning outcomes of science through guided inquiry method
in class V Terbahsari State Primary School. Subject of the research were students of class V Terbahsari State
Primary School which has 19 students. This belonged to action research method (Classroom Action Research).
The research design used was Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model with steps of planning, acting and observing, and
reflecting. The research instrument used were observation sheet, students activity scale, and student worksheet.
The data analysis technique used were qualitative and quantitative descriptive. Based on the data analysis in the
first cycle of action I the students activity showed that 68,42% with average value was 82, in the first cycle of
action II showed that 78,61% with average value was 87, in the first cycle of action III showed that 78,89% with
average value was 84. After improving the first cycle was the orientation aspect, formulate a simple hypotheses,
and formulate conclusion, students activity increased. Based on the data analysis in the second cycle of action I
the students activity showed that 82,63% with average value was 80, in the second cycle of action II showed that
86,39% with average value was 83, and in the second cycle of action III showed that 90,79% with average value
was 87. Based in the research results showed that guided inquiry method could improve activity and learning
outcomes of science in class V Terbahsari State Primary School. This improvement of student activity include the
orientation aspect, formulate a simple hypotheses, data collection, and formulate conclusion.
