PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL MENGGUNAKAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAM GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa di kelas IV B SD 1 Kretek menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif TGT dalam pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas menggunakan desain Kemmis & Mc. Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan terhadap keterampilan sosial setelah diterapkan model kooperatif TGT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif TGT dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa. Sebelum tindakan indikator keterampilan sosial kategori baik 16% setelah akhir Siklus 1 keterampilan sosial siswa meningkat menjadi 60%, setelah akhir Siklus 2 meningkat lagi menjadi 92%. Pada siklus II, keterampilan sosial siswa telah meningkat berdasarkan pada indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan maka, penelitian berhenti pada siklus II.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve social skills of class IV B students in SD 1 Kretek using TGT cooperative learning model in Social Studies. This research was Classroom Action Research that used the model of Kemmis and Mc.Taggart. The techniques of collecting data were questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation. The result of the research indicates an improvement of social skills and learning outcomes in social studies after the implementation of TGT cooperative learning. The result of this reseach indicates that TGT cooperative learning model can improve students social skill. In the pre cycle, students’ social skills was in the good category in 16%. In cycle 1, there is the improvement in 60%. In the end of cycle 2, the social skills becomes 92%. In the second cycle, students’ social skills has improved according the suceess’ indicator so this research is stopped at the second cycle.
