PENDIDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM BUDAYA SEKOLAH DI SDIT ALAM NURUL ISLAM, SLEMAN

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pendidikan karakter dalam budaya sekolah di SDIT Alam Nurul Islam, Sleman. Aspek yang diamati meliputi pendidikan karakter dalam perwujudan lapisan budaya sekolah dan nilai-nilai karakter yang dikembangkan dalam perwujudan lapisan budaya sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penentuan subjek penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive  yang subjeknya adalah kepala sekolah, lima orang guru kelas I-V, dan lima orang siswa kelas I-V. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model interaktif, Miles dan Huberman. Peneliti menguji kredibilitas data melalui triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter dalam perwujudan lapisan budaya sekolah di SDIT Alam Nurul Islam meliputi: (1) Artifak fisik yang meliputi taman, halaman, gedung, dan sarana ruang. Artifak perilaku yang meliputi kegiatan rutin, kegiatan spontan, keteladanan, dan pengkondisian. (2) Nilai dan keyakinan yang meliputi lingkungan sekolah dan suasana kelas. (3) Asumsi yang meliputi harmoni dalam hubungan. Nilai-nilai karakter yang dikembangkan dalam perwujudan lapisan budaya sekolah yaitu religius, toleransi, peduli lingkungan, tanggung jawab, disiplin, cinta tanah air, gemar membaca, cinta damai, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, semangat kebangsaan, dan bersahabat.

Abstract

This research aims at describing the character education in school culture at SDIT Alam Nurul Islam. The observed aspects were the character education in the implementation of school culture’s layers and the developed character values in the school culture. The research was aa qualitative study. This research used purposive technique with the subjects consisted of headmaster, five teachers of first to fifth grade, and five students from first to fifth grade. The data collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The data analytic techniques were Miles and Huberman interactive model. The data credibility was tasted by source triangulation and technique triangulation. The research’s result shows that the character education in the implementation of school culture’s layers in SDIT Alam Nurul Islam involves: (1) artifacts that are consiste of physical artifacts are park, yard buildings, and utilited rooms. The behavioral artifacts are routre activities, spontaneous activities, modelling, and conditioning. (2) Values and conviction that consisted of school environment and class atmosphere. (3) Assumptions that covers the harmony in relationship. The developed character values in the implementation of school culture’s layers are religious, tolerance, enviromental caring, responsibility, discipline, national spirit, avid reading, peace loving, hard work, creative, independence, patriotism, and friendship.
