PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MELALUI INTENSIFIKASI PERHATIAN ORANG TUA KELAS VI SD MUHAMMADIYAH 2

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika melalui intensifikasi perhatian orang tua di kelas VI SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kota Magelang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan (Action Research). Desain penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI berjumlah 9 anak yang terdiri atas 7 siswa laki-laki dan 2 siswa peremuan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensifikasi perhatian orang tua dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika bagi siswa. Tahap pra tindakan, menunjukkan bahwa prestasi belajar siswa kelas VI pada mata pelajaran matematika tergolong rendah. Nilai rata-rata kelas mencapai 50,8 sedangkan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 0%. Pada siklus I, ketuntasan belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 44%(kondisi awal 0% meningkat menjadi 44%). Pada siklus II, dengan adanya perbaikan beberapa teknik tindakan, prestasi belajar siswa cenderung tetap atau sama yaitu 44%. Prestasi belajar pada siklus II belum memenuhi indikator keberhasilan karena dari 100% siswa belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Penelitian tidak dilanjutkan pada siklus berikutnya karena 4 dari 9 orang siswa merupakan anak berkebutuhan khusus sehingga prestasi belajar siswa akan cenderung sama.

Abstract
This research aims to improve mathematics learning achievement through intensification of parents’ attention for class VI students Muhammadiyah 2 Elementary School, Magelang. This research belongs to Action Research. This research used Kemmis and Mc Taggart Model. The Subjects of this research were students of grade VI which consists of 9 students: 7 boys and 2 girls. The data was collected using observation, field notes and documentation. The data analysis was conducted using quantitative and qualitative description. The result of this research indicates that intensification of parents’ attention improves mathematics learning achievement for students. Pre step phase indicated that student achievement of mathematicslearning in grade VI was quite low. The average score of students was 50,8 while passing grade was 0%. In cycle I, student passing grade improved by 44% (it was 0% in initial condition, then up to 44%). In cycle II improved by some action techniques, student achievement remained constant, that was 44%. Student achievement in cycle II has not met indicator yet because 100% of students has not met minimum criteria of learning mastery yet. The research was not continued on the next cycle because 4 of 9 students were students with special needs so that the result of the student achievement will tend to be the same.
