PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS KARANGAN NARASI MELALUI MEDIA FILM KARTUN PADA SISWA KELAS IV

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas IV melalui
media film kartun di SD Negeri Tukangan Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas tipe
kolaboratif, dilaksanakan di kelas IVA, dengan subjek penelitiannya 25 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan
tes, observasi, dokumentasi dengan instrumen tes menulis karangan narasi dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis
data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan menulis
karangan narasi siswa mengalami peningkatan. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada prasiklus adalah 63,76, meningkat
menjadi 68,14 pada siklus I dan 78,06 pada siklus II. Persentase siswa yang memperoleh nilai ≥71 juga meningkat.
Pada prasiklus, hanya 6 orang yang memperoleh nilai ≥71 atau 24%, siklus I meningkat menjadi 13 siswa atau
52%, dan pada siklus II menjadi 22 siswa dengan persentase 88%. Hal ini dapat ditingkatkan dengan cara guru
menjelaskan aturan penulisan karangan, siswa berlatih menulis kalimat dan paragraf, menonton film kartun, dan
siswa menuangkan cerita dari film kartun menjadi karangan narasi.

Abstract
This study aims to improve the narrative essay writing skills of fourth grade students through a media of
cartoons in Tukangan Yogyakarta Elementary School. This research is a collaborative action research and was
held in IVA class. The research subjects are 25 students. The data were collected through tests, observation and
documentation. The instruments used were a narrative essay writing test and observation paper sheet. The data
were analyzed by using descriptive of qualitative and quantitative. The result exhibits that the narrative essay
writing skills of students have increased. The average score of students in pre-cycle was 63.76, increasing to 68.14
in the first cycle and to 78.06 in the second cycle. Moreover, the percentage of students who scored over 71 also
increased. In the pre-cycle, only 6 people scored more than 71 or 24%, then in the first cycle increased to 13
students or 52%, and in the second cycle there were 22 students who received more than 71 or with a percentage of
88%. It can be increased with the teacher explaining the rules of writing a narrative essay,students practice writing
sentences and paragraphs, watching cartoons, and the students wrote a story of the cartoon in a narrative essay
form.
