Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah melalui pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) pada siswa kelas I SD N Pakem 1. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 27 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi dan soal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan RME dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan peningkatan rata-rata persentase aspek aktivitas guru dan siswa sebanyak 21,5%. Nilai rata-rata hasil pre test yang dicapai pada pra tindakan yaitu 56,11 sedangkan nilai rata-rata hasil post test pada siklus I yaitu 71,29 dan nilai rata-rata hasil post test pada siklus II yaitu 80,37. Persentase ketuntasan belajar yang dicapai yaitu 52% pada siklus I dan 85% pada siklus II.

Abstract
This research aim at improving the learning achievement of addition and subtraction of whole numbers with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in the first grade students of SD N Pakem 1.This research was a classroom action research. The subjects were 27 students. The instrument used in this research were observation sheet and question. Data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results shows that the implementation of RME approach can increase the quality of learning process and achievement. It is shows by the increase of teachers and students activities as much as 21, 5%. The average value of pre test result in pre-action is 56.11, while the post-test result in the first cycle is 71.29, and the average value of post test result in the second cycle is 80.37. The percentage of mastery learning that is 52% in the first cycle and 85% in the second cycle.
