MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V MELALUI PENDEKATAN SAVI DI SD N SENDANGHARJO

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas V dalam mata pelajaran IPA melalui pendekatan pembelajaran SAVI di SD Negeri Sendangharjo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis & Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan cara observasi, pengisian skala minat oleh siswa dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilaksanakan dengan cara deskriptif kuantitatif. Minat belajar IPA siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui tindakan seperti penggunaan berbagai macam media, melakukan kegiatan matching cards atau team quiz, memberikan ringkasan materi dan memberikan reward kepada siswa selama kegiatan. Peningkatan minat belajar siswa ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya aspek-aspek minat belajar IPA siswa dan telah tercapainya indikator keberhasilan pada siklus II, yaitu: a) antusias 88% dengan kategori sangat tinggi, b) rasa ingin tahu terhadap IPA 78% dengan kategori tinggi, c) siswa berpartisipasi aktif 84% dengan kategori tinggi, d) perhatian siswa terhadap IPA 90% dengan kategori tinggi, dan e) tekun 73% dengan kategori tinggi.

Abstract
This research aims to increase 5th grader student’s interest in learning Science subject through SAVI approach in SD Negeri Sendangharjo. This research is a Kemmis & Taggart classroom action research. The data
collecting technique is executed by doing observation, fulfilling learning interest scale by the students, and documentation. The data analysis technique is done by descriptive quantitative. Student’s learning interest in Science can be increased trough some action like using a wide range of media, doing activities matching cards or team quiz, giving material summary’s and reward to students during the learning activity. The enhancement of student’s learning interest could be shown by some aspects in Science learning interest which are increased and has had achieve success indicators at second cycle, that are: a) enthusiasm: 88% which is in a very high category, b) curiosity in learning Science:78% which is in high category, c) student’s participation: 84% which is in high
category, d) student’s attention in learning Science: 90% which is in a very high category, and e) student’s diligent: 73% which is in high category.
