PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS MELALUI METODE TEBAK KATA PADA SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS melalui metode tebak kata pada
siswa kelas VA di SD Negeri Golo Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas.
Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas VA yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Pengumpulan data melalui tes, observasi,
dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis
menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode tebak kata
dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS dengan cara waktu pemahaman materi dibatasi; pembagian
kelompok sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa; kata-kata dalam kartu pertanyaan dari khusus ke umum;
urutan maju tidak ditentukan lebih awal; siswa yang tidak maju diberi kesempatan untuk menebak
jawaban; menggunakan kompetisi. Hal ini dapat ditunjukkan melalui hasil tes yaitu 18 siswa yang
mendapatkan nilai ≥75 di siklus I meningkat menjadi 27 siswa di siklus II, ranah afektif dan psikomotorik
mengalami peningkatan dari “baik” di siklus I menjadi “sangat baik” di siklus II.

Abstract
This research aimed at improving learning result on social studies through the method of guessing words
at the VA grade students in SDN Golo Yogyakarta. This research was a classroom action research. The subjects
were students of VA grade. The data were collected through tests, observation and documentation. The
instrument used test and non test. Data were analyzed using descriptive of qualitative and quantitative. The results
showed that the method of guessing words could improve learning result on social studies with: time for
understanding the material was limited.; the group divided according to the characteristic of the student; the words
in question cards from the particular to the general; advanced order was not determined early; students who did
not progress given the opportunity to guess the answer; used competition. This can be shown through the test
results is 18 students who get scores ≥75 in the first cycle increased to 27 students in the second cycle, the affective
and psychomotor has increased from "good" in the first cycle to be "very good" in the second cycle.
